I generally found the day very informative and it has given me great motivation to pursue a career in conducting ISO 50001 audits for Irish companies in the future. I welcome the new Irish ESOS, based on Article 8 of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive, (2012/27/EU). “I was very impressed by the event overall. A few more comments below;
- The venue was top class and easy to access.
- The speakers provided an excellent mix of practical case study experience as well as informative information on the standard and Ireland’s experience to date. I would perhaps add that some further breakdown of the uptake of ISO 50001 in Ireland by sector, energy spend and/or business size would be of benefit to delegates. Similarly it would have been interesting to understand the breakdown of attending delegates e.g. 20% manufacturing, 20% services, 20% consultancy/advisory bodies etc.
- The PPTs I enjoyed/got the most value out of were the Aviva Stadium, Bord Na Mona and Tyndal presentation on their individual road’s to 50001 implementation.
